Architecture design and Consulting
For this project, the aim was to combine three different functions, a football stadium, a shopping mall and a parking area. By the fact that these entities work at different rhythms, it was necessary to design the access to each of them. The relationship between those three functions was an important purpose for this project.
This project expands on the site «La Tuyère» in the north of Lausanne, a vacant lot that could be considered as a threshold between the city and the countryside. We wanted to take benefit of the natural conditions of the territory (morphology, natural slope, mineral soil, wind and water) in order to generate the project. The project is based along the river «the Petit-Flon», the major natural element of this site. This stream gave us the answer on how to operate in that territory. We wanted to connect this project to the a bigger scale by creating a promenade path along the river. We paid a particular attention to the themes of acoustic spaces and eroded spaces.
