Julien Ngao was born and raised in Switzerland where he completed his Master’s Degree and obtained his architect’s license from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. After committing professionally as an architect in Switzerland and in South Korea, he decided to start a practice acting like a bridge between Europe and Eastern Asia. Julien Ngao extended his field of knowledge by working as Project Manager at the Swiss Embassy in Seoul and as an Adjunct-Professor at Hanyang University Erica in a design studio.

He believes that architecture should evolve by reflecting the lifestyle of the people while keeping a strong understanding of the tradition, the culture, the local environment and the individual aspiration. It is this sense of place and connections to the habitants, that allow the architecture to be anchored in the world history of modern architecture.
